Verizon is actively searching for a Prod Dev/Mgt-Sr Mgr as the key project stakeholder for transformative digital experiences and Open development initiatives. As part of the Open Development Device Certification team, you will interface with leading and emerging OEMs to certify FWA, IOT/M2M, Telematics devices and VBG devices solutions. You will work with leading domestic and international OEMs to design, develop, certify and deploy state-of-the-art devices. The work you’ll do every single day impacts people’s lives, work and play.
Candidate will be a key project stakeholder for Partner device management and Open development initiatives. This role will interface with leading and emerging module and device OEMs to on-board, design, develop, certify and deploy state-of-the-art FWA, IOT/M2M devices and Telematics devices. Person will be a key POC to increase number of connection and devices on Verizon network for CAT M1, NB-IoT, CAT1-bis, 4G, 5G NSA/SA, 5G VoNR, 5G RedCap and Non-terrestrial networks (NTN). Candidate will manage the relationship with platform and solution providers for 4G LTE, 5G, private network, Global and Mobile Edge Compute (MEC). New hire will be responsible for driving Verizon solution projects for Open development device security initiatives and also manage Verizon FOTA (Firmware upgrade over the air), Location base services and diagnostics certification for FWA, IoT/M2M, Telematics devices
Additional Responsibilities will include:
Leading a cross-functional team to support the launch of new IoT, FWA, Telematics, devices products, services, solutions and technologies.
Leading cross-organizational discussions to identify root cause and resolve complex customer issues
Developing and publish process metrics to improve performance of IoT/M2M & FWA operations.
Facilitating strategic discussions and brainstorming improvement opportunities with FWA and M2M operational teams
Performing data analysis to identify root cause of device certification issues.
Re-designing existing processes to streamline Open development certification and operations.
Developing workflow and process map diagrams to drive detailed requirements and discussions
Providing guidance on device requirements to the OEM.
Ensuring all full certification’s and maintenance releases are managed according to OD processes.
Building strong partnerships with FWA, IoT/M2M Device partners to ensure the requirements are meet for certification.
Utilizing a deep knowledge of the 5G deployment process to successfully deliver private 5G networks in a wide range of environments
Guiding the OEM through all technical specifications, marketing information release note information and educating the OEM on using the portal where all this information is stored.
Coordinating meetings with or internal labs to decide on test plans to be run on the device, approve the devices for testing at third party labs. Provide weekly status on all devices assigned.
Providing priority of these devices for test plan evaluation at our internal lab.
Developing, documenting and sharing processes defined to assist in supporting 5G SA/NSA, 5G RedCap, 5G VoNR etc
Navigating complex business and management challenges, collaborating across a variety of internal teams and leading a small team of professionals focusing on 5G requirements, testing scope, automation and IT integration.
Managing projects related to SIM cards and eUICC (GSMA SGP.02, SGP.22, and SGP.32) and establish a process for developing testing/certification for FWA, IoT and Telematics devices
Managing and maintain SIM procurements, new SKU creation, requirements/certification process development, and Inventory management
Facilitating strategic discussions and brainstorm improvement opportunities with FWA, M2M, and SIM operational teams
Setting up profile of device for activation and billing
Building and maintaining partnerships with key OEMs and SIM vendors.
Interfacing with IT and PMO organizations to develop system enhancements
Managing delivery timeline to implement and streamline FWA, IoT/M2M processes.
Managing activities to introduce new processes and systems to operations
Monitoring process performance to drive improvement and ongoing process/system enhancements
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree System Engineering, Computer Science or related field or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Five or more years of technology experience engaged in engineering, development.
Strong Product Development background with key focus on Enterprise use cases around managed network services (SDN, MEC, Cloud, 4G & 5G).
Knowledge of 5G NSA/SA, 5G RedCap, network slicing, IoT, cloud integrations, LPWAN technologies.
Deep understanding of 5G/LTE technologies, standards and deployment architectures (including RAN, Core Networks, transport)
Experience in managed network services like LAN, WAN, 4G or 5G enabling services on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.).
Demonstrated facilitation and project management capabilities with track record of accomplishing goals on deadline
Ability to present complex ideas in simple terms and obtain buy-in from stakeholders
Ability to translate market/customer needs into well-conceived, cost effective solutions and proposals
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management across various organizations
Technical aptitude with good understanding of IT, finance, contracting, onboarding, private network, revenue assurance, provisioning and device/network management processes
Knowledge of one of more systems: M2M Operational Center, OD Portal, DMD, UWS/IoT Order Flow, Vision/CPI, 5G, LTE Compliance, Certification, RF Testing
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Master’s degree
Experience in working with global clients.
Analytical skills and experience in developing user stories, and data modeling
Proficiency in JIRA, Agile Process, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working with all leadership levels.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $136,500.00 - $238,000.00.
