What you’ll be doing...
Lead a team of Solutions Architects to drive excellence in solutions development, solutions selling, and opportunity closure through strategic engagement with assigned customer base to maximize sales efforts.
Discovering opportunities for more effective technical support to the sales team.
Monitoring and redirecting efforts and resources as appropriate to maximize sales results.
Developing and cultivating relationships with senior management and executive levels.
Interfacing directly with client personnel at all levels as required to provide consistent, high quality technical support and to develop sales/service opportunities.
Participating in customer meetings and presentations.
Conducting periodic operations reviews with SAs to maintain a focus and cadence on excellence.
Ensuring all SA's complete training against assigned curriculum roadmaps in a timely
Conducting frequent, regular one on one sessions with each SA.
Addressing performance concerns and ensure PDP or PIP is implemented, when necessary, in accordance with HR guidelines.
Consistently sharing successes and expertise across the SA community.
Engaging with peer organizations to resolve customer issues.
Providing timely market information, drivers and customer feedback to our partner organizations for product and technology positioning and improvements.
This role will lead a team of SD&E Solution Architects. The SD&E SA’s will partner with Field SA’s supporting assigned accounts and working with our customers. The manager will also work with downstream teams to get solutions design issues resolved and accelerate through the Verizon process. The SD&E SA’s reporting to this manager will be presale’s consulting, solution design, network documentation, assist with building automations tools, work to fix and enhance current Verizon process and tools, Process analysis and automation ideas for Global Presales organization.
The responsibilities will include -
Managing & prioritizing the workload and resource planning for your SDE team members
Guiding and orchestrating their team on communicating with customers to understand their business needs or facilitates customer interactions to assess customer needs.
Providing direction/guidance on the development of solutions across solution areas and support areas.
Helping the team create vision for the customers and develop plans to realize revenue.
Guiding their team to build a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell. Lead the team to identify new partners and evaluate partner capabilities. Facilitates the development of partner strategies and ensures execution.
Coaching their team on business and market knowledge. Lead the team's internal collaboration to position Verizon products, solutions, and/or services against competitors. Act as a thought leader to help their team connect Verizon solutions and services to customer business impact.
Guiding their team on ensuring customer/partner satisfaction and facilitates the resolution of sales/delivery issues for strategic accounts. Establishes standards for customer/partner experiences.
Building consistent processes across multiple SDE teams
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in a variety of disciplines related to the selling of IT and managing telecommunications solutions.
Experience in a customer facing leadership role with accountability for end-to-end delivery (i.e., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Service Delivery Architect).
Six or more years of architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT and/or telecom-based products and services eg SDWAN, Ethernet, Dark Fiber, Cloud connectivity, cellular networks, FWA
Six or more years of experience delivering customer presentations and preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, proactive proposals and network/system designs.
Knowledge of TOGAF and/or ITIL standards for architecture and delivery.
Financial analysis experience (P&L, ROI, cost analysis, business case development, etc).
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Certifications in one or more of the following, Cisco: Cisco Certified Design Associate/ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCDA/CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional/ Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCNP/CCDP), Comp TIA certifications, Cloud Certifications eg AWS, Google or Azure.
Experience in sales or service.
Experience providing successful project delivery.
