What You Will Be Doing:

The Senior Manager position as part of Consumer Group’s Central PMO team is responsible for and pivotal in shaping and executing the strategic communications, enablement, experience and engagement programs for VGS Tech - Verizon Consumer Group. You will lead a team and own the following workstreams:

Strategic Communications:

  • Developing and executing an integrated communication and engagement plan encompassing messaging, activities, management, and metrics.
  • Overseing the creation and dissemination of compelling content across all internal communication channels, including intranet, newsletters, executive communications, and reports.
  • Managing and execute a relevant editorial calendar aligned with the strategic communication and engagement plan.
  • Collaborating with content, design, video, and motion graphics teams to develop engaging communication materials.
  • Maintaining a repository of templates, toolkits, imagery, and video assets for consistent branding and messaging.

Executive Engagement:

  • Leading the development of content for the Consumer Group executive engagement program, including executive communications, presentations, and reporting initiatives.
  • Partnering with senior leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication of strategic priorities.

Employee Engagement & Enablement:

  • Spearheading the design and implementation of innovative employee engagement programs and initiatives that foster a positive and rewarding work environment.
  • Organizing and lead impactful employee events, such as all-hands meetings, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
  • Acting as a liaison between senior leadership and delivery/support teams, ensuring seamless business operations and addressing employee concerns.
  • Driving the charter for employee enablement, including talent development, retention strategies, and optimizing the work environment.
  • Visualizing, implementing, and continuously improving programs, tools, and processes related to employee experience, collaborating with stakeholders for successful execution.
  • Analyzing and reporting on key metrics related to business performance, employee satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

What We Are Looking For:

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing Communications, Program Management, or a related field.
  • Six or more years of proven experience in internal/external communication, corporate communications, event organization, and employee enablement, engagement as well as driving critical and continual experiences that drive performance within a corporate environment.
  • Three or more years of experience leading and managing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations in a matrix set up with cross-functional teams and leaders to manage program lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful communication and engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience working with global teams in a multinational environment is highly desirable.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Program Management, Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Suite.
  • Experience working in the telecommunications industry.
  • A passion for creating engaging and impactful employee experiences.
