What you’ll be doing...

The work you'll be doing will support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon. You will be enhancing the customer experience and building world class solutions. Under the mentorship of senior applications staff, you will work as a team member on various projects to develop, implement and maintain this important application along with Business engagement, architecting and building innovative solutions 

• Having a passion to understand domains, systems and be able to associate business opportunities to this understanding and create analytical solutions

• Developing highly efficient and reliable applications with front end technologies including Micro Frontends keeping security in mind.

• Designing, developing, and implementing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, collaborating with UX/UI designers and backend engineers,participating in code reviews.

• Showcase and demonstrate building user centered design solutions.

• Working closely and engaging with key business stakeholders in discussion on business strategies and opportunities.

• Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility by writing reusable code, building component libraries, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

• Assertive and objective decision-making skills with the drive to deliver and arrive at solutions. 

• Diagnosing business bottlenecks and providing prescriptive recommendations for stakeholders.

• Adhering to industry standards and best practices and understanding emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve the systems, application, infrastructure, and processes.

You have strong expertise in VCG and you are always willing to learn new technologies. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are able to interact with various stakeholders and cross functional teams

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience .

• Strong hands on relevant work experience in Front end technologies - ReactJS, Micro Frontends, nodejs, HTML, CSS and Javascript etc

• Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles along with accessibility. 

• Familiarity with wireframing, prototyping, and design tools like Figma or InVision. 

• Experience in working on a product team and with a Product mindset.

• Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills and Strong Negotiation skills with the internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.

• Prior experience working in a Product team and having a product mindset.

• Strong Consumer knowledge and experience.

​Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience interacting and collaborating deeply with other lines of business & the ability to work across cross cultural teams.

• Exposure on Micro Front End architecture and experience in building reusable components 

• Experience with Dev-ops and agile models, as well as more traditional functional operating models.

• Experience managing time-bound project deliverables for multiple stakeholders.

​Additional Job Description

• Responsible for conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining software components.

• Performs hands-on coding work on projects to introduce new modular, reusable UI components or enhancing the existing ones.

• Analyzes requirements and determines the design of the software systems and services that best meets the needs of the business.

• Supports the structure, design, and document software systems and services, utilizing the necessary programming languages.

• Develop the initial design and testing framework to ensure the software meets the requirements of the business and functions accordingly.

• Resolves issues that occur within the programming or other components of the software.

• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

• Provide updates to the business and internal teams on project status, proposals, or technical issues.
