What we’re looking for...
We are looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer for our embedded systems team in Florence. You will drive quality assurance for next-generation proprietary IoT devices, working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.

In this role, you will:
Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for proprietary IoT systems
Lead test automation initiatives and manage hardware-in-the-loop testing frameworks
Coordinate QA processes across development lifecycle and cross-functional teams
Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting from prototype to production deployment
Develop end-to-end sys tests with multiple integration points for embedded IoT solutions
Execute large-scale testing to validate flows for device connectivity, data processing, and cloud integration
Create feature and system level test cases for IoT device functionality and edge computing
Troubleshoot complex technical issues through log investigation and root cause analysis
Collaborate with other teams to test and release new platform versions
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years in relevant QA work
Experience in embedded systems and IoT device testing
Test automation skills with Python and modern testing frameworks
Hardware-in-the-loop testing and test equipment experience
Knowledge of communication protocols: TCP/UDP, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN bus
IoT testing: connectivity, performance, security, interoperability
CI/CD pipeline integration and version control (Git)
RTOS and real-time systems testing knowledge
RESTful web services and system integration testing
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with test automation tools and IoT testing frameworks
Microservices testing strategies and load testing capabilities
Test data management and synthetic data generation
Automotive or regulatory compliance testing knowledge
Security testing including penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
Experience with containerized testing environments
Test analytics and metrics-driven quality improvement
ISTQB or similar QA certifications
Network protocols (MQTT, multicast) and IP testing tools
