We're looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager to lead our API Management Platform team. This role is crucial for managing, scaling, and evolving our API infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of our business and our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of deep technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our API platform, from architecture and development to operations and team leadership.
What you’ll be doing...
Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the API Management Platform. Drive the vision and roadmap for the platform, aligning it with business objectives.
Serve as a subject matter expert on all aspects of the API platform. This includes hands-on involvement with Python, Shell, and Jenkins Pipelines.
Oversee the management and operation of our API infrastructure, with a focus on EKS infrastructure and AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Lead the technical planning and execution of our hybrid migration initiatives. Provide continuous technical guidance and support for day-to-day operations, ensuring processes are optimized for efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions..
Implement a comprehensive observability strategy, including autonomous operations and proactive alerting, to ensure platform health and operational efficiency.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Build the talent and leadership pipeline by providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Enable successful collaboration with multiple internal and external partners to deliver integrated solutions and achieve shared goals.
Experience with automating the API lifecycle using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or Terraform
Creating a culture of inclusion and teamwork through leading by example and influence the broader team.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or six or more years of experience.
Eight or more years of relevant experience.
Strong expertise in API Platform Management and deep understanding of API lifecycle management.
Experience in administrating cloud platforms
Experience in Platform upgrades or migrations, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Proven experience in leading technical teams, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
Deep understanding of AWS services and architectures, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Hands-on experience with full-stack development, with a strong background in Python, Shell scripting, and Jenkins Pipeline.
Experience with EKS Infrastructure and implementing observability tools and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering results within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
Highly familiar with Agile methodologies and best practices, with a focus on continuous improvement and high predictability
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders, including executives, custodians, Application, and security teams
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Demonstrated knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of Kubernetes, networking, and secure traffic management.
