Verizon’s Cloud Engineering & Enablement Team is looking for a highly experienced and motivated React Full-Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end development. You'll work in an agile environment, leveraging modern technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
What you’ll be doing...
Design, develop, maintain, test, and deploy full-stack applications using React for the front-end and appropriate back-end technologies
Implement clean, efficient, and well-documented code by following best practices
Automate development processes and contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness of applications
Actively participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement using SonarQube, qTest, etc.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
What we’re looking for...
We are looking for someone with good exposure and experience in creating and managing enterprise-grade applications, who can clearly articulate and influence stakeholders, introduce and implement best practices such as test-driven development, etc., and mentor the less experienced peers for delivering the best results.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of relevant experience in software development and automation, with a strong understanding of design patterns using NodeJS and Python
Proficiency in React and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux, Hooks, Next.js).
Hands-on experience with popular Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio Code or PyCharm.
Solid experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MariaDB, or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with DevOps tools like Jira, Jenkins, and GitLab.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with AWS Cloud Services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, ALB, CloudWatch, etc.
Experience in hosting scalable applications in container platforms such as EKS, etc.
Experience in monitoring tools such as New Relic, Catchpoint, OTEL, Prometheus, etc.
Experience in coaching and mentoring freshers or less experienced professionals
Ability to clearly articulate and influence stakeholders
Experience working on Linux & Windows servers
