What you’ll be doing...
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional who has worked within the Government space, specifically State, Local and Education departments (SLED) to join our team as we continue to grow at lightning speed! As part of our dynamic team, you will drive your own career path, working with new technologies, solutions and products every day. You'll be empowered to make decisions that impact the future of our company and take on challenges that no other employer in the industry can offer.
You will develop relationships and strategies to win new business and ensure client satisfaction. You will also manage account strategy, pricing, contracts, billing, provisioning, troubleshooting and technical support functions.
What we’re looking for...
Determine and execute on new ways to grow revenue by solving business challenges
Identify and mitigate potential competitive threats
Target key stakeholders to elevate Verizon in any technology conversations (CIO, Police Chief, Fire Chief, City Managers, etc)
Identify and respond to large complex RFP’s (+$30M)
Manage state contracts and non-standard request processes
Lead any contract negotiations between our internal teams and the customer
Perform liaison role to municipalities and reps that have other clients producing from the contract vehicle
Identify key opportunities to go after and win RFP’s
Drive EBC engagement with key executive leaders
Engage with CIO level leadership within federated departments of the agency
Facilitate EBC’s with senior leadership and product team
Solicit and manage new technology proof of concepts with key customers
Manage key projects for Verizon and the agency
Lead any strategic projects within top agencies
Provide follow up education and training to customers
Attend City Council meetings gaining political, technological, and competitive insight
Additional responsibilities (not all inclusive)
Generate and manage forecasts (+$96K annual rev generated/ month)
Interpret tracking reports, pivot tables, and customer proposals
Keep up with market trends through ongoing research
You enjoy digging deep to really understand the customer’s vision along with their unique situation and challenges. You like putting things together in new and creative ways to best solve the customer’s most pressing needs. You look for win-win solutions wherever you can and enjoy collaborating with others. You’re not afraid of analytics and like to talk about hard data.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% of the time.
Valid driver’s license.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree.
Experience in account development and leadership.
Experience in selling network and data center solutions like cloud computing, security and call center solutions, and CPE offerings.
Ability to meet or exceed challenging sales targets.
Experience in developing large multinational and Fortune 500 account relationships.
Good communication skills to effectively position new ideas.
Experience in persuading and negotiating to create desired outcomes.
Experience in balancing multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Experience in selling to government and education verticals.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $109,000.00 - $190,000.00.
