What you’ll be doing…
By joining the Device Marketing Core Mobility team, you will work on launching all branded devices (Smartphones, Tablets, Wearables and Mobile Hotspots) that enable mobile connectivity for our customers. You will engage with all the name-brand device manufacturers (OEMs) like Apple, Samsung, Google, Motorola and others to build our device portfolio and launch devices on the Verizon network.
This role will oversee the Verizon Consumer Group and Value Segment (e.g. Visible and TracFone) device portfolio. The individual will represent Verizon’s interest with the OEMs to make sure that we have the right device options and best selection for our customers. This individual will also be able to actively participate in launching devices and drive closure to crisis and issues that come up with device launches. Most importantly, the individual will also get opportunities to drive strategy and implement them with cross functional teams and partners both internal and external.
Responsibilities:
Be data-driven at the core and proactively run reports of data sales mix to be applied in the creation of a portfolio.
Accurately maintain the device portfolio and launch calendars, making sure to engage the internal and external stakeholders to drive results and clarity.
Create device roadmap and launch briefing documents to ensure that Senior leadership are briefed on OEM relationships and escalation points.
Knowledgeable with market competitive analysis to position Verizon’s portfolio with other carriers and MVNOs to pivot accordingly.
Proactively identify opportunities to strategically position features needed to differentiate the devices so we can showcase the best network experience.
Provide communication, direction and clarity to drive flawless device launches.
Program manager of the team (both internal and external) through the device realization launch cycle of the device; ensure that the OEMs adhere to the device requirements and pass the Compliance testing cycle.
What we’re looking for…
Needs to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Even Better if you have one or more of the following:
5-10 years of experience in leading device launches and or dealing with OEMs/vendors.
Experience in the telecommunications and/or tech sector.
Exceptional leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and relationship management skills with the ability to manage others, as well as across, up and down an organization.
Highly strategic mindset, including strong instincts and a demonstrated ability to develop, execute and deliver on plans for growth.
Able to create and draft presentations (PowerPoints and documents.)
Can influence at an executive level through exceptional business acumen, domain expertise, and written/verbal communication.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $124,000.00 - $238,000.00.The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $136,500.00 - $238,000.00.
