One of the objectives is to support the Finance 2.0 and Digital Transformation initiatives in Advanced Analytics by empowering the business through the use of advanced analytics, enhance decision making and allow for insight driven collaboration.
CFO Analytics team is looking for a talented and hands on data and analytics driven individual to join the team and contribute to the team's success.
- As a Data Scientist, you will be working on multiple advanced analytics projects and drive change among the teams by deploying the solutions and insights.
- You will help to envision, communicate, and facilitate deployment and execution of data and analytics work.
- You will collaborate with multiple Business and Finance teams across Verizon.
- Adhering to industry standards and best practices and understanding emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve the systems, application, infrastructure, and processes.

You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science or Master’s degree in Statistics
- 4 to 6 years of strong experience in analytical model building and designing analytical solutions
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
- Participate in the design, implementation and interpretation of advanced analytics concepts and projects related to Big Data, AI and ML/DL
- Deep knowledge in Supervised, Unsupervised Machine learning and neural network techniques
- Experience in using statistical computer languages (R, Python) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Knowledge on model deployment and monitoring
- Strong SQL proficiency one or many (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Knowledge on fraud detection
- Knowledge on Reinforcement Learning
