What you’ll be doing...
Responsible for web application development, design, unit testing and implementation; design, develop, and modify software systems using Java, JEE, HTML, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Spring, ATG, and Angular; develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation; analyze user needs and software requirements and recommend software solutions; perform advanced-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer software; coordinate research and analysis of processing functions, methods and procedures; monitor program execution for expected performance; monitor and support high volume batch file and web service integrations; provide expert opinion and guidance in suggesting better alternatives and flows to given requirements.
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive experience in designing and developing applications using Java, JEE, Spring, ATG, Angular, HTML, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, XML, Web services, REST, SOAP, Oracle, and SQL. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree followed by 5 years of progressive experience, employer will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 3 years of experience in the skill sets stated above. May work from home within commuting distance to Verizon’s office in Irving, TX for up to 3 days per week.
