What you’ll be doing...
Verizon's Corporate Strategy's Business Development team identifies winning strategic opportunities and leads the development of an ecosystem to generate new revenue growth and profitability. As a key function, the team will drive market recommendations, strategic alignment, and internal collaboration across Verizon with a focus on developing and growing the Fortune 100 partnerships to drive 5G growth and partnership innovation with our Strategic Partners. Reporting to the Senior Director, New Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving engagement and commercial structures with 5G Strategic Partners especially Tech Hyperscaler's. An essential part of this role will entail commercialization negotiation for new contracts, with internal and external collaboration across key stakeholders (executive and working teams) to cultivate and drive deals to closure.
Driving new select opportunities across our key Strategic Partners, including negotiation with our Strategic Partners, project managing deals, and collaborating internally and externally with key stakeholders to cultivate and drive deals to closure.
Building and executing first-of-a-kind contract structures and end-to-end commercialization obligations with efficiency.
Partnering and coordinating with internal business units, including Product, Legal, Sales and others, to drive the negotiation process.
Leading and managing day-to-day commercialization relationship with key external Strategic Partners to monitor the commercialization / operationalization process.
Managing communication across senior stakeholders (Director+) and working teams.
Sharing the vision of Verizon 2.3 and delivering new commercial contracts that strengthen Verizon’s leadership position.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
MBA or advanced degree in finance, or business development.
Four or more years of experience in strategy, investment banking, consulting, M&A, partnerships, and/or business development.
Three or more years of experience in the telecommunication, media or technology industries.
Two or more years of experience working in the cloud ecosystem.
Experience leading cross-functional teams, including technical and business teams, to drive results and close deals.
Experience influencing senior stakeholder decisions and managing large, complex, strategic partner relationships.
Experience negotiating contracts with Fortune 100 partners.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $133,000.00 and $248,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
